Without an account
Vehicles, reports, quotes and documents are stored in your browser (localStorage and IndexedDB). They never leave your device except when you explicitly send something to a service: a VIN to NHTSA for decoding, a year/make/model to NHTSA for recalls, or a document to the AI reader if that feature is enabled.
With an account
Data is stored in a database where Row Level Security ensures only you can read your rows. Documents go in a private bucket under your user folder. Sign-in is by emailed magic link; we don't store passwords.
Analytics
If enabled, we record product events (like "quote analysis completed") with no VINs, document contents, prices, free text or personal details. Autocapture and session recording are off.
AI
When AI assistance is enabled, the text or document you submit is sent to the configured model provider through our server to be structured. The model key never reaches your browser. Results are validated before display and never rendered as HTML.
Deleting
Account → "Delete everything on this device" removes local data immediately. Account data can be deleted on request.
